Rustic Rocking Chairs

If you have a cabin in the woods, or a cottage on the beach, you need a couple of rustic rocking chairs to greet you when you come. Most rustic rocking chairs are made of red cedar logs or branches. The logs are sanded to perfection and varnished to protect the beautiful, golden wood grain from rains and harsh sun. Some are left unvarnished to turn silvery gray as they age. Cedar logs are put together in such a way that the superb comfort of your rocker is not compromised. The seat and back are made of smooth laths, sometimes wider and in some models almost fragile, which are able to adjust to the shape of your body. Of course, it would not hurt to add a couple of cushions for extra padding. Oversized rustic rocking chairs are particularly comfortable and it is easy to spend hours rocking in one of them and watching the birds in the tree or kids playing in the grass.
