6 Foot Swings

For some people, the bigger is always better. If you are one of those, you will want your porch or garden swing to be truly big. Six foot swings can fit 3 to 4 people comfortably, but first check if your porch space is big enough to fit your swing. Most large swings are better suited for the yard or garden, tucked in some secluded spot, or placed on a lawn for the whole family to snuggle in. Large outdoor swings can do so many things: you can nap in them, kids can swing endlessly, snuggled together and giggling for no reason, just being happy. Keep in mind that a large swing also has to be hanging from very strong porch swing chains, or from a solid A-frame to ensure it can support 500-600 lbs. The best 6 foot swings are made of very strong lumber such a durable southern cypress or aromatic red cedar, but swings made of polywood or wrought iron are also strong enough to support three people.
